Biomarker Testing (Select MDx)

Select MDx
Select MDx is a urine-based test
- All you need to do is provide a urine specimen during a visit to your urologist’s office.
- The specimen will be sent to Mdxhealth for Select mdx for Prostate Cancer testing.
- Your Select mdx test results will be sent to your urologist within 5 days.
Action You Can Initiate and Knowledge You Can Use:
If you learn that your PSA level is abnormal and/or that you have other clinical risk factors (age, increased prostate volume, family history of prostate cancer, abnormal DRE result) for prostate cancer, talk to your urologist about ordering the Select mdx test—before having a prostate biopsy.
Select MDx will give you and your urologist additional prostate cancer-specific information to help determine if you should have a prostate biopsy.

Confirm MDx
Research has shown that up to 30% of men with a negative/benign prostate biopsy result actually do have prostate cancer.
The Confirm mdx test examines your negative biopsy tissue at the DNA level to help identify undetected cancers that may be present anywhere in your prostate.
How does Confirm mdx work?
Confirm mdx is Performed on the Tissue from Your Prior Biopsy.
Confirm mdx for Prostate Cancer works at the DNA level to help identify undetected cancers. The test is able to detect abnormal DNA changes associated with the presence of prostate cancer. These changes cannot be seen by the standard microscopic evaluation traditionally used by pathologists to screen prostate biopsies.
Is the Confirm mdx for you?
You are eligible to have Confirm mdx testing if you have received any of the following prostate biopsy results within a prior 30 month timeframe:
- Negative/benign
- HGPIN (high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia)
- Atypia (atypical glands suspicious for malignancy)
- ASAP (atypical small acinar proliferation)
- PIA (proliferative inflammatory atrophy, or lesion)

Genomic Prostate Score (GPS) test
Just as every patient is different, so is every prostate cancer tumor. The Genomic Prostate Score (GPS) test uses genomics to give you and your doctor important risk information about how your individual tumor will likely behave. Valuable insights include:
- How aggressive your cancer is
- How likely you are to die from your cancer within 10 years of surgery
- How likely your cancer is to spread to other parts of your body (metastasis) within 10 years of surgery
How does the GPS test work?
The GPS test is Performed on the Tissue from Your Prior Biopsy.
The Genomic Prostate Score (GPS) test is performed on a small tissue sample that’s already been taken from your most recent biopsy. Once the sample has arrived at the mdxhealth lab, the GPS test measures the activity of the group of cancer-related genes that are in your tumor tissue.
Is the GPS test right for you?
If you are a man who has been recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and have not yet begun treatment with surgery or radiation therapy, the GPS test might be appropriate for you. The GPS test isn’t appropriate for those with advanced prostate cancer. The test can only be ordered by a licensed healthcare professional.

4Kscore® Test
The 4Kscore® Test is an FDA approved follow-up blood test after an abnormal PSA and/or digital rectal exam (DRE) to assess the probability of finding aggressive prostate cancer if you were to have a prostate biopsy.
The test measures four prostate-specific biomarkers (Total PSA, Free PSA, Intact PSA, and human kallikrein 2 [hK2]), along with your clinical information (patient age, prior biopsy history, digital rectal exam result) using a complex algorithm to assess the probability of finding aggressive prostate cancer if you were to have a prostate biopsy.
